Bark Collar and Accompany Bark Dog Devices – Easy Ways to Control Barking

We know that excessive barking of a dog has become a common problem that a lot of pet owners have to face every single day. It is worse when the nuisance barking not only just affects you, but it also takes away other people moments of silence. Because you love your pet, you need to find a way to safeguard him from the province in your locale. As dog proprietor, they have the rights to take the dog away from you if it’s necessary. In order to prevent this case from happening, you need to use bark control collars to control the excessive bar of your dog.

There are times when your dog barks due to a specific reason. If you can find out the reasons that your dog barks, you can easily stop his barks by removing the reasons. This is good for your pet as you do not need to use an anti bark collar. In reality, you should try to find the reasons of barking before deciding to make use of a bark dog control collar.

Some dogs bark endlessly when you put them indoors. The answer to this issue is to use an indoor bark control gadget. This device is equipped a sound sensor so that it can detect the bark of the dog. When the barking exceeds the allowed limitation, the gadget will emit ultrasonic sounds to stop your dog from barking. This product is safe at you and your other pets as its sounds cannot be heard by you and other pets as well.

If the dog barks when he is outside, you should use an outdoor bark control. The working principle of the device is the same as an indoor bark device. However, the working radius of an outdoor device is wider, as much as 50 feet.

Using these devices will surely help you in control bark behavior of your dog. There is one note when you use an anti bark collar for the dog. It is you should not wear the collar on your dog’s neck for over eight hours per day. Because wearing a collar in a long period of time will cause your dog to stop barking, even if there are dangerous happening to your properties such as, there are robbers trying to get into your house.

These are just some examples of the bad behavior of dog owners crazy units. If you are having these kinds of behavioral problems with your dog, then it may be time to try some basic obedience training.

Puppy training is a very interesting job for some people and very strenuous job for others. Generally, it depends on the way you deal with your canine. You need to scrutinize every action of your puppy carefully and understand its likes and dislikes. This way you can understand your pup better and provide him with better training.

Teaching Puppy to Accept a Collar:

Generally, you may find your pups confused or hesitant of themselves on the leash and collar you provide them. You need to keep in mind that collars are a training support. You cannot use them as an alternative to the usual buckle style collar.

You need to just place the collar in dog’s neck and allow him to skip, struggle and turn round as per his desire. You need to restrain yourself from laughing or pacifying him as this may encourage him to do this action repeatedly. Moreover, try not to scold him. The best thing you can do is to pay no attention to him. Instead, you can do some other thing to distract his attention from the collar.

By allowing a pup to play, train and eat well, you can divert his attention from the collar. Once he gets used to it, he may not even realize the presence of the collar.

Training Puppy to Accept a Leash:

You need to wait for few days before providing the puppy with a leash. Once you find your pup accustomed to the collar, you can put the leash on him. You need to do puppy training activity indoors or in a safe and confined area.

Allow the puppy to drag the leash around as per his wish. Initially, you need to be vigilant and take care that he does not entangle himself with the leash. You can repeat the workout for longer duration.

You can place the leash during mealtimes. This way he can associate the leash with an enjoyable event. If you find that he is scared of the leash, you can keep it adjacent to his meal, and once he gets relaxed you can attach it to his collar.

Timcy Hood writes informative and unique articles about dog biting and dog whining. One thing that separates Timcy Hood from others is the passion she puts into it, knowing full well and respecting the time viewers spend on reading his work.

A dog obedience collar can really hurt your dog. I want to tell you a little story. I can hear you now, “oh know, another one, lol” When I was a kid, a dog was walking with his owner and out of no where the dog jumped me. I remember how the owner pulled the dog’s leash that was attached to his collar and you could tell it really hurt the dog. The dog was whining and in pain. I felt so bad for the dog so dog owners watch it with those collars. To find out more about these collars continue reading.

* The flat collar is used in clicker training. This is a type of dog obedience collar that is good for small dogs, but they lift the dog in the air so when you are trying to get them to listen to you they won’t because they are distracted. Wouldn’t you be distracted if you all of a sudden was lifted in the air?

* The slip collar has another name, which is called the choke chain. My god, this one is so dangerous! It is actually made of metal links, and nylon. There is a metal ring at the end of it. This particular collar is not in use as much, because on how dangerous it is. When you pull it the collar makes a fast clicking noise to get the dog’s attention. You have to be so careful with this one though, because you can choke the dog.

* The martingale collar is made of nylon that when you pull the leash it tightens around the dog’s neck. Another one that is dangerous! When you place this collar around the dog’s neck it will fit loose, but when you pull it that is when it tightens so be very careful with this one.

* Prong collars looks just like the martingale collar, but it is made of metal links. Inside the collar there are prongs that will stop the dog from moving forward, and causes the dog to experience temporary pain. Again, you have to be careful with prong collars, because when you pull it your dog will be going through discomfort.

* Shock collars also have another name, which is the e-collar. It receives a signal from a device that the dog owner operates. Then, an electrical shock goes from the collar to the dog. What is dangerous about this one is, the owner can change the different amount of high level shocks he can send to the collar. He can increase it to such a high level and hurt the dog. There are a lot of places where this collar is banned for the reasons mentioned above.

* The leash is a dog obedience collar that connects from the handler to the dog. This one is made of nylon, metal or even leather. Usually it is 6 feet in length, but you can get it shorter or longer if you want. This one is used if you are trying to get a dog to listen to you if you are calling them from far away.

* Head halters are very similar to what is used on a horse. It looks like a muzzle and it stops the dog from pulling on its leash, but when you pull it the dog’s neck can get injured. There has been reports that this one causes a lot of harm to the dog.

As you can see, there are 7 different types of dog collars. If you are going to use a dog obedience collar, please be careful that you don’t hurt your dog ok.

All the best!

They are dangerous! A dog obedience collar can really hurt your dog. I know you feel like this is a way of controlling your dog, and getting him or her to listen. I understand how you feel because I felt the same way but then I realized that these things are dangerous. Continue reading! Below, you will find out how dangerous they are and the 7 different types of collars.

The flat collar is used in clicker training. This is a type of dog obedience collar that is good for small dogs, but they lift the dog in the air so when you are trying to get them to listen to you they won’t because they are distracted. Wouldn’t you be distracted if you all of a sudden was lifted in the air?
The slip collar has another name, which is called the choke chain.
The martingale collar is made of nylon that when you pull the leash it tightens around the dog’s neck. Another one that is dangerous! When you place this collar around the dog’s neck it will fit loose, but when you pull it that is when it tightens so be very careful with this dog obedience collar.
Prong collars looks just like the martingale collar, but it is made of metal links. Inside the collar there are prongs that will stop the dog from moving forward, and causes the dog to experience temporary pain. Again, with this dog obedience collar you have to be careful because when you pull it your dog will be going through discomfort.
Shock collars also have another name, which is the e-collar. It receives a signal from a device that the dog owner operates. Then, an electrical shock goes from the collar to the dog. What is dangerous about this one is, the owner can change the different amount of high level shocks he can send to the collar. He can increase it to such a high level and hurt the dog. There are a lot of places where this dog obedience collar is banned for the reasons mentioned above.
The leash is a dog obedience collar that connects from the handler to the dog. This one is made of nylon, metal or even leather. Usually it is 6 feet in length, but you can get it shorter or longer if you want. This one is used if you are trying to get a dog to listen to you if you are calling them from far away.
Head halters are very similar to what is used on a horse. It looks like a muzzle and it stops the dog from pulling on its leash, but when you pull it the dog’s neck can get injured. There has been reports that this one causes a lot of harm to the dog.

As you can tell my friends, you have to be very careful with a dog obedience collar. If you have one on your dog now or you are planning on getting one, please be careful with your pet. Always remember there are other ways to train your buddy without a collar.

A dogs bark is a natural form of communication, however, when a dog barks excessively it is usually a symptom of an underlying problem. Let us look now at some of the more common reasons for excessive dog barking, and consider what may be the cause of your dogs barking.

Are your dogs physical needs being properly met, for example, does he have enough food water, adequate shelter and so on. If not, he may be trying to communicate his discomfort to you through his obsessive barking behaviour.

Does your dog receive adequate daily exercise that is adequate for his breed type and plenty of mental stimulation, or does he spend his hours in the garden with no contact from you or your family. If this is the case with your dog, Boredom may be the cause of his unwanted barking.

Does your dog spend much of the day alone at home while you are at work. If the answer is yes, his problem barking may stem from an exaggerated reaction to being left alone or what is referred to as separation anxiety.

Many dogs who bark constantly and unnecessarily are what you could describe as stimulus barkers. These dogs bark obsessively in response to the telephone or doorbell ringing. Is this your Dog?

Do you own a breed who is quite naturally possessive and protective of it’s owners? If the answer is yes, his barking may be due to him having become overprotective.

What about your dogs individual personality, could this be a factor in his obsessive barking? Dogs who have highly strung or nervous personalities can sometimes develop obsessive defensive barking behviour.

Finally, another common cause of excessive and unwanted barking is due to dogs manipulating theor owners. This type of behaviour is more common with smaller dogs, howerver, big dogs can be just adept at barking constantly to get what they want.

Has your dog visited it’s vet recently and been given a clean bill of health? If not, you might consider that poor or failing health may be the root cause of his constant barking. Consider having your dogs health checked before you eliminate poor health as being a reason for your dogs barking.

Now that you have determined the underlying cause of your dogs excessive barking behaviour, you next need to consider whether using an anti bark collar would be the best method in helping him or her overcome this unwanted behaviour. Please remember that when using this type of device, in most cases you are administering a punisher to your dog, therefore, for obvious reasons, it would be ufair to use such a device on a dog who’s barking is a result of separation anxiety or fear for example.

Have you tried any other conventional training methods to put an end to your dogs obsessive barking? If you haven’t tried to tackle the problem in this way, then you might consider this as an option before moving on to using an anti bark collar.

Let us assume then you have tried other forms of training and your dog is still a hard core barker. Let also assume you have decided your dogs motivation for barking warrants the use of an anti barking collar. What is the correct collar for the job? Well, there are basically three types of devices available. Let us look at them individually.

Sonic collar

The Sonic type of collar can be fitted to the dog and left, as it is triggered by movement in the dogs throat. When triggered the collar emits a high pitched sound that is inaudible to the human ear. The high pitched tone is meant to interrupt the dog from barking, whereupon the dogs owner can intervene with positive reinforcement.

Spray collars

This type of anti bark collar commonly emits a squirt of citronella spray at the dogs snout. Again this can be done automatically; or via a remote control. The only possible problem one could imagine to be related to this kind of collar is the use of citronella; dogs have what is called a Vomeronasal organ situated in the roof of the mouth that forms part of the olfactory system and this allows them to taste certain smells if you will. Scent molecules rest on this bonny plate, so as the dog can analyses them. As cironella has a strong lemony smell, this could remain on the vomeronasal organ for some time, therefore when the dog has received a squirt of citronella for barking (a punisher) and stops at once because of the obnoxious smell, the scent or punisher may still remain on the vomeronasal organ for some time after.

An alternative to this this type of collar is a device similar which sprays plain water along with a blast of compressed air.

Ecollar or shock collar

This type of collar is often used when training dogs in the military or police service, where there is a very high degree of complience required from the dog. Unfortunately however, they have recently become popular training devices generally.

The more commonly used type is triggered by a sensor. This kind of collar emits a bleeping sound, that acts as a warning to let the dog know if it persists a punishment will follow.

The second type of electronic collar is operated via a remote control. Different levels of shock are available to the trainer; from low to high and anywhere in between. This collar should never be used other than by a professional who has experience of such devices, and when all other methods of retraining the dog have been exhausted. Using one of these devices correctly, requires exact timing along side positive reinforcement training techniques.

Ivan Ojounru has been training dogs in the UK since the late 1908′s. He now lives in France where he continues to train dogs and write about dog related behaviour care and trainig topics. He is passionate about giving dog owners the skills, knowledge and confidence to enable them to train their own dogs successfully.

For dogs, there are many training tools that you can use to help them exhibit the proper behavior. One of those training tools is a no barking collar. The no barking collar is supposed to train the dog not to bark. It is a good tool for a dog that barks incessantly. Of course, it may be considered cruel depending on your thought process for dog training tools that exhibit the control. So let’s look at the no bark collar in depth.

First, you need to understand that barking in an instinctual behavior for any breed of dog. They will bark in response to potential threats, happiness, or just to hear themselves talk. Since it is an instinctual behavior, it is most difficult to train the dog not to bark. There are certain dog breeds that will continue to bark for no reason at all. These dogs usually wear on their owners and their neighbors. If you are going to attempt to train your dog from barking you will need patience, persistence, and a gentle hand. Most often the effective training does include the no bark collars.

The no bark collars work with an electrical pulse. The electrical pulse is set low so that it will react when the dog barks. A dog wearing one of these collars is going to get a little shock. It is usually a kin to a shock from the carpet when you touch metal. It is unpleasant, but not harmful to the dog. You can increase the electrical shock or decrease it based on the training you are going to be doing. The more they wear the collar the less the dog should bark. You are programming your dog to believe that when they bark they will get shocked, and if unpleasant enough it will reprogram that instinctual behavior.

Of course the downside is the chance that they will not bark when it is necessary. Since you are training them not to bark at all, for any reason, the chances of them barking when there is an intruder or other threat will leave them silent. This means that you are in effect taking away one of their weapons against nature. This can have some irritating or bad effects if the dog can’t bark to show there is danger. On the positive side, this isn’t usually an issue for people who have security systems in their homes, as the security alarm replaces the need for a dog’s bark.

When training, you do not want to over use the no bark collars. You should use it at a technique to keep the dog from barking at everyday things, but also incorporate other methods of training to show situations when it is okay for the dog to bark. For instance, you can use a voice command such as “speak” to teach the dog that he may bark when told to. Again, the choice to use the no bark collar lies in how you view the training method. Some prefer it, as it offers a hands-free approach to training, yet others prefer voice commands and hand signals.
