Puppy Biting Must Be Stop. But How ?

Then I got a 2nd puppy 1 year later. When we first saw this puppy in the store , she was looking so adorable, loving, cute of course . Then we requested to carry and touch her. The minute they brought her out of her cage, she started to bite and nibble our fingers. Unknowingly, we thought it is so cute and we brought her home. Today, she is 1 year old, and she is still biting our ankles as we walk, bites our fingers, cloth around the house, socks left on the floor etc… despite repeated training.
From here, I concluded puppies are like human, some are easy to train and some are not. Some are stuborn and rough and some are gentle and soft. These 2 puppies of mine have 2 different characters. One is gentle, loves and easy to cuddle, eats very slowly. She is a 100% perfect princess. Her certificate says her parents are from the loyal breed. The other one is wild, untidy, hyper active, move a lot whenever we cuddle her, finish her food in seconds. Her certificate claims that her parents are from the warrior breed. No wonder she behaves like that. Therefore, when training puppies on puppy biting , you must be firm. Otherwise, it is no joy bringing you puppy for outing. No one likes to stroke a puppy when the puppy is always using its mouth to attack our hands.
“Mouthing” by dogs when they play with each other carries a different meaning. When you puppy is mouthing with each other , it means they are playing together. Watch out if the other puppy is growling or wining , this may mean that the puppy is being hurt. Then you should separate them or train the other puppy not to mouth too hard. They forget their own strength when they are playing.
Here’s how you can train your puppy not to bite :
Step 1
When your puppy bites you too hard, CREATE a loud high pitch voice like OUCH !!! Instantly, you will notice your puppy starts to lick you and you can praise her by saying good girl. Repeat this several time, eventually you will notice she will stop biting your hand.
Step 2
The next time when she bites you again, you will notice it will be a softer bite. Well, sometimes they forget or overly excited. They may bite you hard, just remember you high pitch voice OUCH . Slowly, you can teach her to stop biting.
Another common mistakes human make with their dogs – when their dog jumps with excitement, the humans will follow to be excited too. This is wrong . Because when there are friends or relatives visiting you, this attitude of your dog can be very irritating especially when your visitor is anti dogs. Therefore, I suggest you re train your dog during grooming period as well.
How ? Easy.. read on
When your dog jumps with excitement, hold treats on your hand and lift it above your head and say “sit”. Until they sit , you give them the treats on your hand. Repeat several time until one day without any treats, you leave up your hand, they will sit automatically. Or a more cruel way to train them is ignore them. No matter how you love to pick them up and kiss them as long as they are jumping, you must ignore them. Pick them only when they stop jumping after a while. Do not pick them up immediately they stop jumping. Eventually, they will understand that jumping is wrong and they will stop doing that.
