In the same way you train a dog to fetch. It is trying to fetch the person though, who is going to put up a fight. The dogs just know how to listen

I have a lot of respect for the people who train these Police dogs,,,it takes sooo much time and effort that in the end I would just get annoyed and I am sure the dog would sense it,,which probably wouldn’t help me any….

well, the type of dogs used in police work we bred for taking people down. the dogs already know what to do, the trainers just have to make sure they dont go after the wrong peopel or go for some major artery.

You’re an idiot – this is hardly ‘top secret’ information. There’s all kinds of books and videos out there on police dog training. Infact it’s good people can see this and train their dog accordingly, a trained dog is better than a volatile untrained one. (If the owner is responsible)

you just request to be a K-9 unit after your done with the academy i believe but that means more training : ) i leave oct 13 to go into the army to be a Military Police officer and hopefully i can request to be K-9 with them because i want to work with dogs also
