You don’t have the right method retard! If you do that, the head will stay in the skin of the dog and causes infection and abcess!

    I should’ve read your comment,FIRST!
I viewed other clips,& they also mention removing TICKS w/tweezers.Twisting it w/your hands, would surely leave the head in.I don’t feel much wiser takin’ advice from these DORKS!
My Boy has a HUGE bump around the bite,& now the ticks’ head is still lodged in.THANKS IDIOTS on YOUTUBE,for providing IGNORANT info, on tick removal.Tick tools don’t look any different than, grasping the tick behind the head,as tweezers do.I should’ve done it,THE OLD SCHOOL WAY!HEAT!

This woman does not know what she is talking about. You buy the PROPER tool to do the job. I believe the proper tool is called a Tick Twister.

this woman has a phd in animal behavior… how the hell does that make her authoritative enough to give medical advice? she’s just an animal psychologist and her method still has the potential to leave the head stuck in your animal. i wouldn’t take that chance.

Remove a Tick with ease… The easiest way I found to remove a tick is take your finger and rotate the tick around in circles until it falls off. Usually 30-60 seconds. Dont twist it, just twirl your finger around it. It’s like drawing a circle around the tick using one finger but keep in contact (touching) the tick while doing this. The tick comes out whole. Use no heat nor chemicals required. I got 3 out of 3 so far using this method.
