Whats better for my strong pulling beagle an easy walk/non pull harness? Or a halti? Plzz answer my question

I had the same problem GSD, always pulls, and I got so angry I would violently yank the lead back, when he was too persistent. I felt sorry for him, but I thought this was the only way he would learn. Then someone saw me on the street road training, and came over to suggest the Halti. I almost bought an imitation, but after opening them up, the Halti was way better quality, mine even has a very soft leather lining. I just find he keeps on pawing. Better than suffocating I say.

the dog in the background is thinking, hell I hope I’m not next..LOL I am getting the Halti tonight.. I am really hoping this works. I have tried everything.

My 70 lb. shepherd mix was impossible to walk until I got a halti. He pulled so hard, it was actually dangerous to walk him. He always has had a tendency to take the leash in his mouth and gently lead me, so I thought this might do the trick, and it sure did.

No offense. But from this video, I don’t think the dog like the halti. And the woman seems to pull the dog at times but not lead the dog.

  6. chowchow155 says:

What they didn’t cover in this video and that’s really important is proper fit of a halti. If it you don’t have a properly sized halti that fits your dog the right way, then yes, you can cause sores and balding on the nose, plus the halti won’t work as well for you. Think of it like a woman’s bra, if you don’t have a proper fit you either are going to be squeezed and uncomfortable on your not going to get the right results. Consult a trainer if you are unsure how to properly fit and use halti.

My bully breed took to it really quick. It took her about 10 minutes to figure out if she walked next to me then it would not pull but once she go the idea she walked down street with me just fine.

maybe you put it on to tight

I just wish there was actually a video with not ALREADY TRAINED DOGS!!!

Your dog needs prozac then. I bought one today for my dog that pulls and goes crazy with other dogs wanting to play. It worked perfect.

BS. I trained my wild ass catahoula girl with this device and it worked like a charm. I say unless you have a bully or mastiff faced dog, use this right away, the earlier the better. Its about 30bucks so pass it on to a friend who could use it with instructions to pass it on when done. It works in minutes, just walk them through the troublesome part, trying to remove it. 10 mintues later, good dog on a leash. Thank you inventor.

I disagree. I also have a Jack Russell, but we love the Halti. I had to sew the size 1 a little smaller to make it fit properly without being too tight or too loose. Now we can walk comfortably with no pulling! She’s never got a sore from the Halti. She isn’t scared of the Halti, in fact, when I say “HALTI” she knows it’s time for a walk & will lay down and let me put it on without a fuss. Maybe it doesn’t work for every dog, but it sure works for us!

  14. lenskittylitter says:

Avoid this product at all costs, we had one for our Jack russell, and it gave her horrible burns on her nose. The dog obeys, because your hurting it. Cant believe these things are endorsed by vets. They’re just nasty. Your dog will probably end up scared of you. AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is the video supposed to be completely obscured for the first 30 seconds by text which is not entirely viewable in the viewport of the video?
